Make your own bird feeder at Saturday event

Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is calling all birdwatchers for its Make A Pinecone Bird Feeder workshop, scheduled for Saturday at the Police Point Park Nature Centre.

The event is open to the public, though registration is required, and will supply those in attendance with the components to construct their own pinecone bird feeder to take home.

“We love to explore the many ways we can watch and provide nutritional, protein-rich snacks for those feathered friends that have adapted to stay with us through the Southern Alberta weather,” reads an MHIP release.

This event is not suitable for those with peanut allergies.

Anyone interested in attending can phone the Nature Centre at 40-3529-6225 to book a 30-minute slot. The event runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
