Body discovered in home following Saturday blaze

The body of a 54-year old male was discovered in a home in the 800 block of Ninth Street SE on Saturday when Medicine Hat police and fire responded to an early morning blaze at the residence.

Police are continuing to investigate circumstances surrounding the man’s death, but at this time do not suspect them to be criminal in nature. The identity of the deceased was not released.
