The body that jointly manages the St. Mary’s and Milk rivers’ flow on both sides of the Canada-U.S. border will hold public meetings this month on the future of the international agreement. An effort to update the 113-year old treaty, which lays out apportionment, got underway in 2021 and is expected to continue for five years. Public meetings to discuss the board’s work and initial findings will be held Oct. 24 in Milk River, and Oct. 25 in Shelby, Mont., it was announced Wednesday. 4
