Third annual Cowboy Poetry and Western Music Show set for next weekend

The Medicine Hat Cowboy Poetry and Western Music Show will gallop back into the Medicine Hat High School Theatre on Oct. 1.

The third annual event will kick off at 4:45 p.m. will a poetry and music session featuring local performers.

Meliora Service Dogs will take the stage at 5:30 p.m. for a service dog demonstration and photo opportunity with the talented pups.

After a food-truck dinner break at 6 p.m., host Shelly Goldbeck will open the main event at 7 p.m.

The evening’s lineup includes music from the New Mixed Company and Morley Thorpe, a comedy act from Spy Hill, Sask., performances by local singers Reese and Morgan Klaiber, and more.

Tickets for the event are available for $20 at Hale Hearing in the Co-op Mall, or the Medicine Hat Auction Supply Store. The night will also feature a silent auction and door prizes.
