Fundraiser set up for family of plane crash victim

A GoFundMe account has been set up for the family of one of two victims of a fatal plane crash near Shaunavon on Sept. 18.

The fundraiser names Jaden Hallman, 22, as one of two people who died after the Cesna 172 that took off from Swift Current at about 10 a.m. crashed and caught fire about 11 kilometres southeast of Shaunavon.

Media in Southern Saskatchewan reported the plane was en route to perform an aerial pipeline inspection near Estevan.

The Transportation Safety Board dispatched officers to the crash site, which was contained by RCMP officers from nearby detachment.

Donations totalled about $2,800 on Friday toward the stated goal of $25,000.
