Three charged following spree of B&Es

Police have charged two men and a teenager following a break-in spree in Ross Glen, East Glen, Crestwood and along Strachan Road late last week.

A Medicine Hat police release states that in total, six houses and two businesses were burglarized and three vehicles, along with electronics, were taken.

William MacPhail, 18, and Steven Slater, 47, both of Medicine Hat, each face a charge of theft over $5,000 among other charges. They are next scheduled to appear in Medicine Hat provincial court on Sept. 28 and Nov. 23, respectively.

A youth was also charged with one count of breaking and entering to commit theft under $5,000.

Police say they are in the process of returning property to its rightful owners.
