Plenty on tap for Dunmore Days

Dunmore’s Sunrise Park is coming alive this Saturday with the return of Dunmore Days.

Hosted by the Dunmore Community Association, the annual celebration offers residents the opportunity to come together and have fun prior to summer’s close.

The event kicks off with a complimentary pancake breakfast, running from 9-11 a.m. Following the breakfast, attendees can let loose with a selection of activities for all ages, including games, bouncy castles, relay races and crafts.

Attendees may also choose to show their spirit with face painting, which runs from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; join the baking competition, with judging scheduled for 12:30 p.m., submission cutoff at noon; browse the car show, which runs 1-4 p.m.; put the pedal to the metal during the all-ages bike parade beginning at 2:30 p.m.; sit back and relax with live music performed by Full Circle starting at 7 p.m.; or connect with local organizations like HALO Air Ambulance and Cypress County Fire Services, which will be on-site throughout the day.

An array of food will be available at the event including baked goods, cotton candy and barbecue concessions in the afternoon, then the Sausage Shack food truck from 6-8 p.m. Beer garden opens at noon and runs until 11 p.m.

Treat bags will be provided to the first 100 children to arrive at the event. Adults are invited to try their luck with raffles and a 50/50 draw.
