MH Interpretive Program, public library present StoryWalk

By Medicine Hat News on August 6, 2022.

The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program and Medicine Hat Public Library’s annual StoryWalk partnership is returning to Police Point Park from Aug. 8 to Sept. 5.

Designed to both encourage outdoor leisure time and enhance reading comprehension skills, StoryWalk invites Hatters to traverse the park while following along with a story posted beside park trails.

This year’s story, Sometimes I Feel Like a Fox by Ontario author Danielle Daniel, explores the meaning behind Anishinaabe totem animals and invites readers to consider the relationship between humans and the animal world. The story is available in written and audio formats, in English and French.

Those who complete the story, can stop by the Nature Centre to receive a prize token, redeemable at MHPL.

The self-guided, family-friendly activity is free of charge. For more information, call 403-529-6225.
