Oilfield equipment manufacturer bought by fabrication company

https://www.medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews Local oilfield equipment manufacturer Platinum Energy Services has been bought by a North American fabrication company that already has operation in Medicine Hat. TerraVest operates in 10 Western Canadian locations, including Argo Sales, which operates Bromley Mechanical in Medicine Hat, that TerraVest acquired in late 2019. It also operates more than a dozen other operations in Eastern Canada and the U.S. building tanks, fuel storage, custom pressure vessels and ancillary industrial equipment. The company announced the purchase of Redcliff-based Platinum on Thursday morning. “Platinum is a small transaction for us, but one that further enhances our manufacturing capabilities and competitiveness in our processing equipment businesses in Western Canada,” said Dustin Haw, CEO of TerraVest. “I would like to welcome the employees of Platinum.” TerraVest also provides well-servicing in Saskatchewan through Diamond Energy Services, and manufactures heating and air conditioning equipment under the “Granby” brand. 8-7
