Road work on Carry Drive will affect traffic for two months

By Medicine Hat News on June 30, 2022.

Motorists travelling on Carry Drive can expect delays and detours over the next two months, as city crews replace damaged storm water, and other infrastructure, and upgrade road and intersection design.

Set to begin July 5, the construction will intermittently affect parts of Carry Drive from Cameron Road to the top of Scholten Hill. Construction is expected to conclude by September, weather depending.

In the meantime, traffic will be detoured on a variety of routes, depending on construction location. The first section to be impacted is Crestwood Drive to Cuyler Road; for which southbound traffic will be detoured onto Crestwood Drive, Corbitt Way and Cuyler Road, and northbound traffic will be detoured onto Southview Drive, then Dunmore Road.

The city reminds motorists to obey posted speed limits and signage.
