Homicide in Brooks

NEWS FILE PHOTOA Brooks man has been charged with homicide after a woman in that city was found dead by RCMP officers. Mounties with the Brooks detachment were called to an apartment shortly before noon on Wednesday after a response that a female was unresponsive. They found that 30-year-old Tamara Debbie Soosay, of Brooks, was dead. A 35-year-old man, Mat Bangoang Choap, also of Brooks, was charged with second-degree murder. He is in custody and next appears in court on Monday, June 27 in Medicine Hat provincial court. 3
