Lane merger at College Avenue this week

Construction season has arrived with the City of Medicine Hat warning that northbound College Avenue will be restricted to one lane this week.

Crews will be repairing underground sewer lines that run adjacent to the Connaught Golf Course. Motorists entering College Avenue from the Trans-Canada Highway, or continuing north from Southridge Drive, will be merged into the left lane.

Alberta Transportation is also preparing to begin work on Highway 3 at the intersection of Range Road 63, just west of Medicine Hat city limits in Cypress County. That work will continue for the remainder of the month.

Towne Square

The city’s cultural development office has announced the grand opening of the Town Square event space will take place June 2, until which time parking on the lot at 603 First St. SE will be free of charge.
