MH College board of governors adds two new members

Medicine Hat fire chief Brian Stauth is one of two new members of the Medicine Hat College board of governors.

The appointment was announced in this week’s orders from council listing released by the provincial government, and also extends the term of current board of governors chair Sarah MacKenzie.

David Hoekstra, general manager of Big Marble farms, will also join the board for the first time alongside Stauth. Both men will serve terms that expire in April 2025.

MacKenzie will serve a second term as chair expiring in the same time frame after she was first appointed to the board in late 2019.

The appointments, made by Minister of Advanced Education Demetrios Nicolaides are among new board members listed for six of the province’s post-secondary institutions.
