MHC hosting two-day film festival with local flair

By Medicine Hat News on April 8, 2022.

Medicine Hat College will play host to a two-day film festival featuring works by local filmmakers, including Hatter Dionne Copeland, who wrote and directed Cold Wind Blowing. Films created by MHC students and the public will also be shown.

The festival kicks off tonight at 6 p.m. with a series of publicly submitted short films, no longer than eight minutes. MHC’s film club, Club 404, will also be screening its film Displaced.

Cold Wind Blowing will be shown at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The festival will be held in lecture room S159, which can be accessed through the college’s main entrance. Admission is $5 per person, with profits going toward Copeland and Club 404.
