Methanex to conduct emergency training drill at local plant on Tuesday

Methanex will conduct an emergency training drill at its plant site in northwest Medicine Hat on Tuesday, a company spokesperson has told the News.

The event will include the plant’s onsite firefighting system and response team as well as units and officers from the City of Medicine Hat’s fire service.

Residents should be aware that training will be conducted between 9 a.m. and about 2:30 p.m. and is a part of routine annual safety drills.
