Police charge 21-year-old male in string of January vehicle vandalizations in Ross Glen, Crescent Heights

A Medicine Hat man is facing 26 charges of mischief or theft in connection to a string of car prowlings in Ross Glen and Crescent Heights in January.

Medicine Hat police say they responded to more than two dozen reports of broken mirrors, windows and slashed seat belts in those areas between January 10 and 28.

At the time they even put out a public call for residents to view any home security footage to identify suspects.

On Monday the service announced they had laid one charge of mischief over $5,000, 22 charges of mischief under $5,000, and one charge of theft under $5,000 against Zackary Kearney, 21, of Medicine Hat.

His first court appearance scheduled for May 31.
