Update ahead of press time: The University of Lethbridge Faculty Association reports Monday evening its members have voted to ratify a new collective agreement From earlier in the day: The University of Lethbridge board of governors voted to ratify terms of a new collective agreement with the institution’s striking faculty association. A Saturday post on the U of L’s bargaining page said its vote was based on recommendations contained in a report made by the mediator who held meetings with the two sides last week. The faculty association on Monday morning staged a virtual town hall, which was to be a repeat of a presentation made Saturday to members on ratification. Monday’s session was to have a focus on instructors. Saturday’s meeting, according to an ULFA posting, had two items on its agenda. The first was a motion to put the proposed package to a vote and the second was on the method of conducting the vote. Voting by ULFA members closed Monday at 6 p.m. with results released after 8 p.m. The ULFA is holding a press conference today at 10 a.m. to review the results. An enhanced round of mediation was conducted Friday which resulted in a proposed settlement. 9
