kking@medicinehatnews.com Medicine Hat resident Gordon Nott has taken a seat on the Kerby Centre’s volunteer board of directors, in an effort to provide local perspective and help guide the management of the Veiner Centre, a Kerby Centre subsidiary. “I look forward to supporting the Kerby administration team here in our city and building upon the opportunities and programs already available,” Nott said in a Wednesday release. “Their enthusiastic work to enrich lives within our senior community is inspiring and I cannot wait to start.” Nott, a longtime Hatter, currently serves as the regional director of the Albert Council on Aging. He is also the chair of Medicine Hat’s Senior Citizens Advisory Committee Foundation. City councillor Andy McGrogan is pleased to see a representative of Medicine Hat join the Kerby Centre’s board of directors and offered congratulations to Nott. “By including a local voice of someone who is so passionate about the senior population, we are confident member needs will continue to be met,” McGrogan said in a press release. 7
