The Root Cellar Food and Wellness Hub is back on the hunt for an executive director. The Root Cellar made the announcement Friday, stating Margo Dick has resigned from her role as executive director. Dick spent five years with the organization as operations manager before stepping into the executive director’s role in the fall. “Margo was committed to creating an inviting and friendly atmosphere for clients, volunteers and staff. We would like to take the time to thank Margo for all her hard work and dedication to the organization and we wish her the very best,” reads the release. The release adds 2021 was a “transformational” year for the organization due to its change from the food bank to the Root Cellar, as well as a change in locations. Melissa Mullis has taken on the role of interim executive director while the board finds a permanent replacement. “Melissa has been with the organization for five years and has filled many roles including her current position as marketing and events manager. Melissa’s passion and dedication to the organization will provide stability and ensure a smooth transition for staff and volunteers” board president Warren Stark says in the release. 7
