Families and adults are invited to go behind the Esplanade’s theater curtain on Feb. 3 as part of the Backstage Pass experience.

Participants will learn about production lighting and sound, hear stories of famous folks who graced the Esplanade’s stage and get to visit areas not normally open to the public.

“These are kind of non-traditional arts and heritage experiences,” Candace Lundrigan, cultural public programmer at the Esplanade, told the News. “You really get that intimate experience with our theatre staff. They can answer any question you fire at them… It’s really neat just to see how they do their magic.”

The Backstage Pass event is pay-what-you-will. The family event begins at 6 p.m. and adults event at 7:30 p.m.

Registration required as spots are limited. Registration can be completed online or by calling the Esplanade at 403-502-8580. Restrictions Exemption Program in place.
