kking@medicinehatnews.com The Government of Alberta will be hosting virtual sessions throughout February in which the public can provide feedback on the proposed K-6 curriculum. The sessions were originally schedule for fall of 2021 but were cancelled due to the pandemic. Subject-specific sessions will now be held between Jan. 31 and Feb. 28, with each session open to a specified region of the province. Sessions for the South region are as follows: Feb. 1 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. – English language arts and literature Feb. 3 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. – Physical education and wellness Feb. 10 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. – Mathematics Feb. 12 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. – Science Feb. 15 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. – Fine arts Feb. 17 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. -French first language and literature Feb. 22 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. – French immersion language and literature Feb. 28 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. – Draft social studies design blueprint All Albertans are invited to participate, however there is a limit of 120 per session.
