City begins annual trimming of branches near power lines

The city’s Electric Distribution department has begun the annual trimming of tree branches located too close to power lines. On Tuesday, crews began work in the Flats and will trim trees which are deemed hazardous in both front streets and back lanes. The trimmed branches will be used to create mulch. Anyone concerned about the proximity of specific tree branches to power lines can request tree trimming through the city. 5-4
