The new chair of the Saskatchewan Canola Board hails from near Kindersley.

Charlene Bradley was elected as the group’s chair of the board of directors at its annual general meeting on Jan. 11.

She operates a family grain farm near Stranraer, Sask., located about 75 kilometres northeast of Kindersley in east central Saskatchewan.

Bradley, who is also chair of the Canada Canola Council, takes over as head of the provincial group from outgoing chair Bernie McClean.

Two other directors were elected at this month’s meeting. Four seats will become available for election this summer ahead of a November vote.
