Garbage collection changes for Holidays

There will be no garbage collection this upcoming Monday or Tuesday as a result of the Holiday Season, meaning some areas will go more than a week between collection days.

Garbage collection resumes Wednesday with Zone 5 (Ross Glen), followed by Zones 1 and 2 on Thursday and Friday, respectively.

Zone 3 (Flats), scheduled for collection today, will wait until Tuesday, Jan. 4 for its next collection day, while Zone 4 (South Ridge) will follow up its Christmas Eve collection on Jan. 5.

Christmas tree recycling will begin Dec. 27, according to a post on the City of Medicine Hat’s website.
