Police search for missing woman

Medicine Hat police are asking the public for help in locating Josephine Vivian, last seen on Dec. 14 at approximately 2 p.m. at the Super 8 Motel near the Trans-Canada highway.

Vivian is a 37-year-old Indigenous women of no fixed address with dark hair, listed as 5-foot-3 and approximately 130 pounds. She was last seen wearing dark blue sweatpants and a dark coloured Abercrombie and Fitch hoodie with black and white winter boots.

Police believe she could be headed toward Edmonton or the Piikani Reserve and may be hitchhiking. Police have described her as “a vulnerable missing person due to her lifestyle.”

Anyone with information regarding Vivian’s whereabouts is asked to contact Medicine Hat Police Services at 403-529-8481.
