A night of stargazing planned at Echo Dale viewpoint

The night sky will come alive Tuesday, and the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is inviting local stargazers to register for its Starry Night constellation and planet viewing event.

The event runs from 6-7:15 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Echo Dale viewpoint, and will feature discussion and identification of different marvels in the night sky.

“We will talk about the different planets, stars and major constellations that we can see in the night sky,” reads a release from the Interpretive Program.

Anyone interested in registering can call the Nature Line at 403-529-6225. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and/or chair.

The event is subject to cancellation if conditions result in poor visibility.
