Academy of Learning Career College, South Country Co-op team up for toy drops

Medicine Hat’s Academy of Learning Career College has partnered with South Country Co-op for a series of Christmas toy drops in support of the Medicine Hat News Santa Claus Fund.

Toy drops are set up at Co-op gas bars, Agro sites, liquor stores and food stores, along with Co-op Mall on 13th Avenue until Dec. 13.

“We are so ecstatic to be able to give back to our community, we can’t imagine the amount of women and families that struggled this year financially.” Dominique Hirsch, AOLCC community relations lead, said in a release. “Academy of Learning has a huge emphasis on community as we have been able to help families find new careers to better support their loved ones.”

South Country Co-op director of marketing and community relations Carmen Hudson says there will also be a “top up at the till” campaign at local stores to help support the Santa Claus Fund.

“The need has never been greater and we want to help our communities as much as possible” Hudson says in the release.
