Brooks man arrested

Mounties in Brooks say they have arrested a suspect in a convenience store holdup in that city this month.

On Nov. 10, a man wearing a balaclava entered a store on West Cassils Road and demanded money from a lone employee. Another robbery occurred the following day.

On Friday the RCMP stated that after receiving tips from the public they have arrested 42-year-old Marcel Leydier on Nov. 24. He is charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of possessing stolen property and carrying a concealed dangerous weapon.

He is scheduled to appear in Brooks Provincial Court on Dec. 15.
