Midnight Madness is back in the Hat

Midnight Madness, a downtown shopping experience which encourages Hatters to support local businesses, is returning tonight.

More than 40 vendors will participate. Below are some of the activities being held.

640 Professional Building – Take a tour of the building, meet some furry friends from the Medicine Hat SPCA or enter to win in the giveaway, all while enjoying food and wine, 4 p.m. to midnight.

Beveridge Building – Browse the Holiday Sip ‘n Shop market featuring local vendors and held in the 3rd floor ballroom. 4 p.m. to midnight.

Botanicals – Take part in a mini Grinch tree-making workshop, $20 per participant. Then, enjoy a 15% discount on purchase if you show a receipt from another Midnight Madness vendor.

Elliot Home and Lifestyle – Experience the holiday collection launch and enjoy discounts on select items, then take part in a draw for $250 gift certificate.

Evangelos Music Ltd. – Listen to live music by jazz guitarist Johnny Javier from 7-9 p.m. and check out the various discounts being offered.

Giving and Receiving – Inside, speak with brand representatives and discover products, sales and door prizes. Outside, grab a bite to eat from several local food trucks stationed there.

Inspire Cafe – Try a roast beef feature meal for $20 or a $3 hot chocolate and cookie while listening to live music from local singer-songwriter Greg Herman from 6-8 p.m. Closes at 8 p.m.

Kollektiv Cycle – Break a sweat at one of the free classes running Friday, just make sure to bring a non-perishable food item or monetary donation for Medicine Hat’s Root Cellar.

Little Munchkin’s Clothing & Such – Beginning at 10 a.m., pick up all your little munchkin’s essential needs on sale. Most items $1 and books 10 for $1. Free stuffies and lollipops for children while supplies last.

Local – Try two holiday casks from Medicine Hat Brewing Co., Gingerbread Red and Toasted Coconut Stout, while listening to a live DJ performance.

Medicine Hat Chamber of Commerce – Warm up with free hot chocolate and explore the petting zoo from 4:30-8:30 p.m., accessible by donation to the Santa Claus Fund. Hosted in partnership with Methanex.

Madhatter Coffee Roastery – Be the first to try the Christmas drink menu and shop the holiday item launch.

Medicine Hat Public Library – Join in a 20-minute Santa Sing-Along in Batus Park at 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 or 7:30 p.m.

Moose and Squirrel Artisan Village – Check out the artisan vendor table from 4-10 p.m.

Phase II Boutique – Shop ’til you drop with super sales and hourly gift certificate draws until 10 p.m.

Redcliff Bakery – Purchase an item and be entered into a cinnamon bun giveaway. Open until 11 p.m.

Shut up ‘n Wear It – Enjoy sales from 10% to 40% off until midnight.

Six One Six Entertainment – Speak to Santa over the phone as he stays warm in the front window, watching the holiday cheer taking place outside. Then, challenge your friends and family to one of the new activities being offered, such as glow in the dark ax throwing.

Station Coffee Co. – Take a break to enjoy limited-edition Christmas treats and gift bags.

Swirl’s Ice Cream – Keep it cool at the Swirl’s Ice Cream truck, parked near the corner of Third and Fifth street from 8:30 p.m. to midnight.

The Clay Trade – Browse pottery by local artists until 10 p.m. or head over to the Framing and Art Centre for deals up to 75% off.

The Copper Leaf Cafe – Wander the Gaslight Market featuring local vendors from 4 p.m. to midnight. Located inside Gaslight Plaza.

The Post – Stock up all household essentials, clothing and everything else you need for 50% off the entire store from 10 a.m. to midnight. Check in later for free hot chocolate and hourly giveaways or grab the mic for karaoke from 6-10 p.m. $5 gift cards will be hidden throughout the store all day long.

Top Notch Custom Kreations – Browse discounted items or buy a grab bags. Starting at 4 p.m., any purchase of $50 or more earns a gift from under the Christmas tree; at 8 p.m. any purchase of $25 or more ears a surprise gift bag, while supplies last.

Discover so much more by attending Midnight Madness from 4 p.m. to midnight tonight. Restrictions Exemption Program will be in place in all indoor venues. Social distancing is requested.
