Further in-person consultations have been set regarding how the city’s parks and recreation department will draw up a plan for facility maintenance and replacement, the city announced this week.

On Wednesday, Nov. 24 department staff will be at the Veiner Centre from 2-4 p.m., then the Cypress Auditorium at the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede grounds from 6-9 p.m. to answer questions and discuss a new master plan with residents. Both facilities subscribe to the Restriction Exemption Program and will require proof of vaccination upon entry.

The sessions will “help explain the direction of this process and how it ties in with the bigger picture, including the Municipal Development Plan and more,” according to Scott Richter, the department’s business manager.

Residents may also fill out a survey posted online at shapeyourcity.medicinehat.ca until the morning of Nov. 22.
