Beef Pen Show and Cowboy Christmas trade show back on this year

The Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede will be hosting the 23rd annual Beef Pen Show and Cowboy Christmas trade show on Dec.17 and 18 at the Cypress Centre.

This annual event, presented by Zoetis, features commercial and purebred cattle exhibitors and 4H classes.

Friday’s evening will feature the popular, all-breed steak sampling at 6 p.m. in the auditorium, followed by the purebred breeders commercial open heifer show, purebred heifer show and the commercial open heifer show.

Saturday’s schedule kicks off with a pancake breakfast starting at 8 a.m., followed by 4H Shows, commercial bred heifer show, purebred bull pen show and the cattlemen’s choice.

The Cowboy Christmas Trade show opens at 9 a.m. on Saturday and features jewelry, baking, candles, western tack, leather gloves, wooden toys and more.

The hours of the Beef Pen Show are Dec. 17 from 4-9 p.m. and Dec. 18 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede is operating under the Restrictions Exemption Program. All vendors and patrons are required to provide proof of vaccination (QR Code only), a privately-paid negative rapid test result taken within 72 hours, or documentation of a medical exemption. Rapid tests will be available on site at a cost of $40.
