Being Batty, Halloween Story Walk available for kids through Medicine Hat Interpretive Program

By Medicine Hat News on October 27, 2021.

The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is offering some festive fall fun this weekend with the Being Batty kids program and their Halloween Story Walk.

Being Batty invites participants aged 4-7 to learn about bats and bat conservation in honour of international Bat Week, which runs Oct. 24-31. The event will take place on Oct. 30. Each session is 45 minutes in length with several time slots available throughout the day. Participants are asked to register online.

The Halloween StoryWalk, held in collaboration with Medicine Hat Public Library, is an opportunity for Hatters to hear Erica Silverman’s story The Big Pumpkin. The story will be running between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 31. Attendees are encouraged to be on the lookout for Park Interpreters, who may be carrying some sweet treats.
