Kilpatrick re-elected in Redcliff

Incumbent Dwight won a four-way race for mayor pf Redcliff, fending off a hard challenge from one-term councillor Shawna Gale.

Voting totals on Monday from the town show Kilpatrick won the contest with 656 votes to Gale’s 363.

Also running were former mayor Ernie Reimer (238 votes) and challenger Mark Payne (105 votes).

Along with the contest for mayor eight candidates sought six seats on town council. Elected to serve on council were Chris Czember (956), Cathy Crozier (767), Jim J Steinke (738), Larry Leipert (706), Matthew St. Pierre (701) and James K. Allan (565).

Shawn Proulx (556) and William Ranger (471) narrowly missed out on the top six.
