While official results on the referendum and Senate races won’t be determined until Friday, Medicine Hat voted overwhelmingly in favour of removing equalization from the constitution and moving to permanent Daylight Saving Time. On the matter of equalization, 12,846 Hatters voted in favour of removing it from the constitution, with 5,667 voting in opposition. The numbers were roughly the same when it came to Daylight Saving Time, with 12,113 Hatters voting to scrap the clock change, and 7,473 voting to keep it. Pam Davidson (6,802 votes), Erika Barootes (5,802) and Mykhailo Martyniouk (3,942) were the top-three candidates for Senate, as voted by Hatters. 4
