kking@medicinehatnews.com This Saturday, the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program, managed by the Society of Grasslands Naturalists, is hosting a beaver walk. Walk participants will be joined by a park interpreter, who will share information about the creatures and guide participants near one of the local beaver habitats. “(Fall) is when beavers are most active storing food for the winter,” park interpreter, Marty Drut, told the News. Drut hopes the walk will allow Hatters a chance to appreciate the beavers that live along the city’s rivers and creeks. Participants will meet at 5:45 p.m. at a yet-to-be-determined location. Registration is required as, due to COVID-19 protocol, spaces are limited. To register, call 403-529-6225. 5
