Mall food court will reopen with Restriction Exemption Program in place

By Medicine Hat News on September 29, 2021.

The Medicine Hat Mall announced Tuesday that, in accordance with new provincial guidelines, it will be reopening its food court dining area for in-person dining with the Restriction Exemptions Program in place.

Anyone who wishes to eat at the food court must provide one of the following; proof of one or more vaccinations, a negative privately-paid COVID-19 test taken within the past 72 hours, or an original letter of vaccine exemption signed by a medical professional.

Any individual who does not meet these criteria will not be admitted but are invited to sit at the outdoor seating area or takeout.

This change comes nearly two weeks after Alberta’s Restrictions Exemption Program first went into place, during which time food courts were not included in the program and were mandated to close in-person dining.

The food court dining area can be accessed by passing the point of entry located across from Mountain Warehouse. Security personnel will be monitoring the entry point.
