RCMP in Bow Island searching for missing man

RCMP in Bow Island are looking for a missing man last seen on the weekend.

Officers say Arnold Hofer, 49, was last seen on Seventh Ave. West in the town southwest of Medicine Hat on September 11.

He is six feet tall, weighs 170 pounds and has grey hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact the Bow Island RCMP detachment at 403-545-2100.

Girl found

The search for a missing Ontario girl that briefly involved Medicine Hat last week concluded in Cranbrook, B.C. on Friday.

Mounties there reported they had two people in custody, including a 13-year-old from Kitchener, Ont., after a red Pontiac led Mounties on a chase and was eventually rammed. Medicine Hat police had said they were looking for the vehicle that turned into the city after it eluded Mounties who spotted the vehicle near Dunmore.
