Two men from Medicine Hat have been hit with drug charges following a raid last Thursday.
The Medicine Hat ALERT Unit concluded a two-week drug investigation, with the arrest of two males following a Sept. 2 search. Police say a large sum of cash and cocaine was seized, and a follow-up search warrant was conducted at the arrested individual’s residence in Medicine Hat.
There, police say additional drugs and prohibited firearms were seized, including two sawed-off shotguns, multiple shotgun rounds, 36 grams of Psilocybin, 121 grams of cocaine, two grams of methamphetamine and two litres of liquid GHB.
The reported street value of drugs seized is estimated at approximately $18,500, with police also seizing $12,000 in cash at the scene.
Luc Reaume, 40, and Daryl Stefani, 36, were arrested in connection with the investigation. Their charges include possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and GHB, possession of methamphetamine and psilocybin, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000 and firearms offences.
Both men were released from custody ahead of their scheduled appearance in Medicine Hat provincial court.
