Cypress County council meeting set for Thursday, despite confusion

A Cypress County council meeting initially scheduled for today day will go ahead Thursday.

Administrators announced the change last week, but residents may have been caught off guard when an automated message went out on Tuesday morning – the day county council traditionally meets – announcing the online broadcast of the meeting was about to start.

Complicating the scheduling matter, meetings falling the day after a long weekend are usually moved to Wednesday.

Most business scheduled to take place this week will be taken up Thursday beginning at 10 a.m..

However, due to the scheduling change, several public hearings originally set for this week will now take place at the Sept. 21 meeting.
