Medicine Hat man killed by tree in Banff

A 61-year-old Medicine Hat man was killed by a falling tree in Banff National Park during a camping trip, RCMP report.

The unidentified man was camping near Lake Minnewanka at the Aylmer Canyon Campground, which is a back-country are often used by hikers.

The incident occurred just after midnight on Aug. 11, and police say no foul play is suspected. The name of the deceased will not be released.
