Taber police arrest three on drug trafficking charges

A year-long drug trafficking investigation by Taber police ended last week with the arrest of three individuals.

Taber police say officers conducted a traffic stop between Taber and Barnwell, where the individuals were charged, and cash, cocaine and illicit pills were seized.

Arthur Doyle Cranston, 61, Tyler Tysen Mercer, 50, and Esther Schmitt Fehr, 26, are all facing charges of drug possession for the purposes of trafficking as well as possession charges.

Cranston is also facing driving offences and was remanded in custody.

Mercer and Fehr were released on bail.
