Riparian Areas Rock walk planned for Sunday morning

Medicine Hat Interpretive Centre’s Riparian Areas Rock series returns this weekend for its second of three schedule guided summer walks.

This Sunday’s walk begins at 11 a.m. and will allow participants to explore Ross Creek and Seven Persons Creek between Medalta and the IXL brick plant.

While registration is not required, the interpretive centre asks anyone hoping to attend to call the centre in advance at 403-529-6225 in order to manage group sizes.

The walk will take place on mostly flat terrain, and through some dirt trails. Appropriate footwear is recommended.

The Riparian Areas Rock project began in 2020 and is supported through a Land Stewardship Centre of Canada Grant.
