Summer Jam will be back at the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede this year, with a lineup of local acts set to hit the grandstand on July 28. The Wednesday evening show will be hosted by Mahoney, with pre-show entertainment from Derek Hintz and performances from Audrey Three, Phoenix, Desperate Measures, Wichita, Band of Brothers, The Cruisers and Mahoney and Friends. “Summer Jam is the Stampede’s ‘give back’ to the community; family-friendly admission to a first-rate full-blown concert,” Summer Jam chair Rick Massini says in a Stampede press release. “Summer Jam 2021 continues the tradition of featuring local talent, which abounds in Medicine Hat … We will also introduce this year’s Summer Stars, The Cruisers, whose youth and talent will amaze you.” Hintz will be on stage when the doors open at 6 p.m., with the main show to follow at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. today, and can be purchased at mhstampede.com, the Stampede office, the event gates or by calling 403-527-1234. 5
