Alexandra Middle School given $5K grant to build lab to test micro-generation clean energy tech

By Medicine Hat News on June 12, 2021.

A city junior high school will be building an energy lab after being awarded a grant from a provincial education advocacy group.

Alexandra Middle School has been handed $5,000 grant to set up the lab, which will examine micro-generation clean energy technologies from Inside Education.

The lab will also explore climate change and sustainability principles. It will also allow for hands-on experiments in creating micro-generation projects.

The grants were part of $120,000 provided to schools from across Alberta to participate in developing similar projects in 27 different schools with support from BP Canada, TC Energy and Cenovus Energy.

Projects will begin in September.
