Walk-up, first-dose vaccine clinics will be set up around southern Alberta

Walk-up, first-dose clinics for COVID-19 vaccine are scheduled in Medicine Hat and several locations in the south zone, Alberta Health Services has announced.

No appointment was required for first-dose Pfizer shots at certain clinics held in Calgary, Drumheller, Magrath and Raymond on Thursday.

Medicine Hat and Lethbridge walk-up clinics will be open Saturday from 8:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., at Higdon Hall and the Lethbridge Exhibition Park, respectively.

The service in Brooks, at the Kinsmen Hall on First Avenue S., is open now each day from 9 am. to 3 p.m., until further notice.

Clinics are also scheduled for Saturday in Taber and Fort Macleod, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at health centres in the respective towns.
