Town of Oyen approves development permit for cannabis retail outlet

Recreational cannabis sales could be coming to Oyen in 2021. The town advertised this week it had approved a development permit for a cannabis retail outlet to be located at 206 Main St., in the town located about 200 kilometres north of Medicine Hat. The permit can be appealed by anyone claiming to be affected by the decision if they provide written notice by April 27. Elsewhere in the Special Areas, an application with the Alberta Gaming Liquor and Cannabis Commission proposes that a numbered company be allowed to open a retail operation in Castor. Greenview Cannabis would be located in the town located north of Hanna on Highway 36. 5-4
