A local man is $100,000 richer after taking home the cash in a Feb. 26 Lotto Max EXTRA draw.
The day after the draw, Kieron Burgess checked his ticket on a smartphone app and was more than a little surprised to see it come up a winner.
“I checked my ticket the day after the draw on the Lotto Spot! app,” he said. “When I saw $100,000 on the screen I was shocked and so happy.”
Burgess’s winning ticket was bought at the Fas Gas Plus location at the Dunmore Road and Carry Drive intersection. The $100,000 came from matching the last six numbers of the Extra draw, which was 4195995. He plans to take his time before deciding what to put the money toward.
