Local man tops $184K in Poker Lotto win

A local man’s $1 addition to a lottery game multiplied his $10,000 winnings by more than 18.

Charles Forbes purchased a Poker Lotto ticket in February from the Southridge Husky Market on Strachan Road, choosing to add the All In option for an extra dollar. One of the hands on his ticket matched a Royal Flush, which gave him the instant $10,000, while the All IN jackpot added another $174,060 to his winnings.

“When I saw the amount on the screen, I yelled, “Yeah, baby!” Forbes said, adding that he plans to put the cash in savings for his retirement.
