Organizers of a drive-thru job fair on Wednesday reported a bristling trade from job seekers and six employers advertising for help.
The YMCA Employment Centre staged its third in-vehicle job fair since last fall this week, with officials saying they have gained in popularity and three more are planned.
“It’s always a new concept, but we’ve had good response and the feedback has been positive,” said general manager Jodie Engbert.
Companies involved Wednesday were local Tim Hortons franchisees, Red Hat Co-op, the Davis Auto group, two building management companies and the College Child Care Society of Medicine Hat.
The next fair is scheduled for April 21, with a deadline of March 20 for employers to apply and register to be part of the event.
