Deaths at MH Regional Hospital were man in his 80s, woman in her 70s

AHS has issued a statement regarding the deaths connected with a COVID outbreak in acute care last month at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital.

An outbreak was declared on one unit at MHRH on Jan. 14 after three patients and two health-care workers linked to this unit tested positive, for a total of five cases.

Two deaths are now associated with this outbreak.

“… a male patient in his 80s and a female patient in her 70s. We extend our condolences to the families of these individuals, and all who have lost loved ones during this time,” reads a statement provided by an AHS spokesperson.
